Moorambilla Voices recorded LEPIDOPTERA at the Cerretti Chapel in Manly, Sydney, Australia.
Travelling from all corners of North West NSW, 44 Moorambilla Voices, children aged between 9 and 12 converged to research and ultimately perform for a live recording of the thirteen-piece album accompanied by soloists and guest musicians led by Michelle Leonard OAM.
All proceeds from the LEPIDOPTERA CD go towards the continued work of Moorambilla Voices to empower and celebrate the capacity and talent of the children of the North West region of New South Wales.
Like the life cycles of all Lepidoptera, the transformation of children who embark on the Moorambilla journey develop skills to tour, learn and thrive. These children in turn transform like butterflies into capable, connected young adults and human beings with a positive world view.
