Moorambilla 2021 Gala

Riversong 2021

It’s always such a joy to watch a creative idea come to life in the beautiful Baradine Memorial Hall. The seamless integration of artforms is nothing new to this company and underpinning Riversong conceptually from the drumming through to dance is the calm consistent flow of the river, the sound and energy of the air, and a deep consideration for connection to country. In 2022 we have really focused on returning to the beauty of the human voice as we rebuild the choirs and help our children realise their incredible potential. The music really soars across the stage and their beautiful singing reminds me of the glorious flow of energy and potential in our river systems. Counterbalancing this “infinity flow” is the importance of standing still long enough to truly listen to the air and our natural world, with the words of wisdom it speaks to all of us.
