Modules 1 – 6 are yoga and place-based contemporary dance workshops that include breath work, yoga series’, contemporary dance phrases, improvisation tasks and choreographic tasks. Each module is a chance to focus the mind, release and strengthen the body while learning something new. Let’s move and create together.

Jacob Williams – Dance – Diamonds are a Girls Best Friend

Join Jacob and Andrew Howes as they sprint (teleport) through 500 years of dance. Over two 20-minute modules, you will gain an insight into the historical and cultural influences which shaped ballet and contemporary dance and be guided through various ballet and contemporary dance exercises which highlight some of the differences between these two dance genres.  Each module will also include a cool down stretch.

  • Plies: ‘Diamonds are a dancer’s best friend’
  • Petit allegro: ‘Jumping to escape change’
  • Small jump: ‘We don’t want to become old, decrepit… people’
  • Roll down stretch: ‘A-frame is for articulate’

Join Jacob and Andrew Howes as they sprint (teleport) through 500 years of dance. Tainga Savage – Dance – Sit Down Dance Extension

Module 3 is specifically designed as a rhythmic extension for those in upper primary and high school to compliment the skills learnt in the previous two modules. Join Tainga in beautiful Cobar as he works systematically with you to extend the dance and rhythmic complexities he showed in Module 2 for the sit down dance.
